As you are aware, Alpha Insurance A/S, which was the underwriter for the 10-year latent defect insurance, was placed into bankruptcy on 8 May 2018.

Since the collapse of Alpha in May, CRL has been working tirelessly to resolve the issues for all of the affected customers who have not received their policy certificates. We have been working with the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to ensure that there is clarity provided to the market in respect of the options available to affected customers.

We have formed a specially dedicated team to handle the issues faced by these CRL customers and to provide assistance to arrange alternative cover for their projects.

Due to the volume of requests received, your original relationship account managers have found that they need extra support, this is why we have hired a new team of people dedicated to work through requotes in a defined process.
