Property Developers Join Forces in £100m Project

A new mixed use development will create over 200 much needed  new homes and extra office space in Watford.

Orion Land & Leisure, the London based developer, has agreed a joint venture to transform a 5 acre site into a mixed use property development offering 200 new houses and around 100,000 sq ft of commercial office space.

The project will see a collaboration between Orion Land & Leisure and The Pears Group at the site, which is situated near the area of the potential new Cassiobridge station at Ascot Road.

The Orion and Pears Group partnership will work together on the Watford mixed use building project, but that could just be the beginning as the partners have also allotted an additional £50m to invest into similar projects.

The partnership has another two pipeline projects, involving mixed use buildings in Harwich, which are said to be a mixture of retail and residential units.

Orion Land & Leisure is a privately owned property development and investment company with a focus on regeneration projects and redeveloping under-utilised land and buildings helping them to become landmark destinations.

Group managing director at The Pears Group, Jonathan Rose, added he was delighted to have signed an agreement with Orion Land & Leisure and was looking forward to working with their excellent team.
