CRL announce scholarship award to support talents and help minimising the skills gap of UK construction sector

We believe that exceptional academic performance should be recognised and rewarded.

In an industry calling out for 3,000 new homes every year, and with housing being one of the top national policy challenges of our time, construction insurance specialist CRL believes construction-related businesses should play a key part in attracting young people to join industry.

This is by launching their very own scholarship award as part of the ongoing dedication to supporting talents and raising the building standards of new homes in the UK. The scholarship is CRL’s promise to help the industry tackling the worrisome labour shortage that is already affecting all parties involved. The housebuilding sector has a genuine opportunity to support the way that skill training is developed and delivered, enabling students to live up to their potential from the start of their careers.

Steve Mansour, CEO of CRL, explained the business' motivations behind this scholarship:

As an organisation of construction insurance specialists, we understand the key part we play in attracting young people to the industry and developing future talent for UK construction. The housebuilding sector has a genuine opportunity to support the way that skills training is developed and delivered, enabling students to live up to their potential from the start of their careers.

CRL aims to help funding the next generation of construction superstars by offering an economical support to prospective civil engineers, construction or architecture undergraduates as an external scholarship.
