CRL Management handed over a cheque for £2,000 to the British Heart Foundation as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
Sophie Tibbitts, Fundraising Manager from The British Heart Foundation visited the CRL office in London to be presented with a cheque, said: “Every day more than 400 people die from cardiovascular disease. And hundreds more will be diagnosed with a life-changing heart condition.
“That’s why it’s so vital that organisations like CRL Management raise funds to support our life-saving research. It’s only by investing in that work that we can find new breakthroughs to treat, prevent and cure heart disease.”
Despite great progress over the last 50 years, cardiovascular disease still kills around 160,000 people each year – more than a quarter of all deaths in the UK. The BHF is the UK’s leading independent funder of cardiovascular research.
Earlier in the year, a number of CRL staff did us proud by running, walking and hobbling their way around a 5K charity course in London’s Olympic Park. Their efforts raised an impressive £1,200 for the British Heart Foundation.
