Rugby club Kendal Hornets have selected the independent developer Pinington to work on the new construction of a club house, in a project worth around £3.5m.
The projects comes on the back of a number of high profile contract wins for the Lancaster based firm, who are enjoying a period of sustained growth and a healthy looking project pipeline.
Work is about to start on the clubhouse, sports and training facilities, whilst the team's old ground will be transformed into a new Sainsbury's supermarket offering around 83,000 sq ft of retail space. The Sainsbury's development will be handled by another North West firm, Morbaine who are based in Cheshire.
Pinington have additional projects awaiting a green light, and Managing Director Mark Ayton believes a lot of their success is down to key framework partnerships which are aiding the companies growth plans.
Mr Ayton said they were looking forward to building a modern and striking new home for the Kendall Hornets and that the development will deliver outstanding facilities to help develop players of the future.
There have been a number of high profile projects awarded to Pinington already in 2016 including the construction of a new Engineering Centre facility for Blackpool and Fylde College.
