5 Tiny Kit Homes You Can Buy on Amazon

Described as ‘prefabricated tiny homes’, at first glance these properties seem to resemble shipping containers filled with furniture. A closer inspection confirms that these are actually as stylish as they are habitable, and can be delivered right to your door.

If you’re in the market for a small kit house, or adding a garden room to your property, here are five of the most popular you can buy on Amazon.

Prefabricated Tiny Home

The prefabricated tiny home comes completely furnished with standard appliances plus a sofa, bunk beds, a shower, and two sinks. This particular home is 8’ wide and 40’ feet long, and has French doors on one end. Customers seeking a custom-sized model can contact the manufacturer about having a home built to their specifications.

DuraMAX Flat Top Insulated Building

This durable and fire-resistant small kit house has a definite prepper feel. Made from galvanised steel, it has impenetrable walls and a metal foundation that makes it just as suitable for an emergency shelter as a living space. The building, which measures only 130 square feet, does not come as standard with plumbing, so prepare accordingly. Its small size makes it unsuitable for family use, although if an apocalypse hits no one will likely be bothered!

Little Cottage Company Pinehurst

This ‘home’ is actually a shed, but with up to 288 square feet to work with, you can realistically turn it into a cosy and attractive tiny house. Lack of insulation makes it unsuitable for cold climate dwellers, and there’s no toilet, which is an issue no matter where you live. That won’t matter for people who don’t mind roughing it and have access to nearby bathroom facilities. The screened windows and colonial details give the exterior a decided appeal.

Allwood Kit Cabin Lillevilla Escape

This quaint and rustic little house is hugely popular, and it’s easy to see why. At 113 square feet it’s nice and snug (although it does lack a bathroom) and the interior is absolutely stunning. Interested parties are advised to order ASAP, as the kits sell out every season, according to the company.

Allwood Arlanda Garden House

If you prefer a small kit house that is more urban and contemporary, this 180-square-foot cabin could be just the thing you are looking for. It has clean lines and a Scandinavian silhouette, with large windows for plenty of light. According to the manufacturer, it can be installed on rooftops to create your own urban haven. There is no bathroom as standard, but installation can be accommodated.
